What is TruckPAC?
TruckPAC is the bipartisan political action
committee (PAC) of Tennessee Trucking Association. It is committed to supporting
candidates in office and those running for office who are sensitive to and supportive of
trucking and business issues. TruckPAC contributes to candidates who are elected on
the state level only (no congressional or presidential candidates).
Why is TruckPAC important?
Trial lawyers, unions, doctors... all these groups
have powerful PACs which work to advance their goals. Their financial might adds up
to a hefty presence in the halls of the General Assembly. If the trucking industry is
serious about improving our chances in the game, we must step up to the plate and compete
with these other players.
How much is needed?
All other major industry PACs are contributing
$100,000+ each election cycle to advance their interests. TruckPAC has set a goal of
$50,000 per year, or $100,000 per two-year election cycle. The chart below outlines
an appropriate contribution:

Many of you prefer giving directly
to candidates you know, and we encourage you to continue dong so. However, the
